CAV in the UK

The CAV gt40 is now available in the UK, and I have had the first opportunity to road test their demonstrator. The car is very impressive indeed, with excellent build quality and almost flawless body finish. The 302 fuel injected engine and 5 speed Audi getrag gearbox also ensure more than anticipated performance, and I cannot wait to track test this car shortly. Wonder how they will get the cars SVA approved?

 

JP it's my understanding that CAV is already approved for the UK. This info was posted earlier.

The car you have got through SVA, which I have seen, is not really what we want in the U.K.

It does not look right. To make it look "right", chrome wing mirrors, right hand change, proper smith instruments etc. you will have to pull the car apart and then probably respray, thus adding more to the initial price. I'm no expert by any means, but I can see some very serious potential problems for anyone wanting to buy one that look's "correct."
