Got an e-mail today for a discount from Speedway Motors. I have been putting off purchasing the fuel caps for the car. Speedway sells the Cobra domed flip caps so I purchased both and a couple other items.

Got a chance to work on the 40 today. Because of the blizzard  The engine block is painted gloss black. Real struggle as I like Ford blue. Thought it might clash with the Daytona Blue pearl I have chosen for the body. Test fit the distributor I got from my wife for Christmas fits fine.

Spacer inside the rotor hat .

This would be the main issue I would be concerned with. I would not use rivets or epoxy. You could drill the hat and spacer in threes places. Then drill and tap the hub. Chamfer the holes in the hat and install flat angle head machine screws so heads are below the surface

I realized I had forgotten to buy a fuel pump block off plate for the 351 Windsor. Saw some for $15.00 plus freight and others for $30.00. So I just made one on my lunch hour

    Rookie mistake and the concequences

Bill: Great repair work. I have been thinking about how to put a warning light and electric latch system in place. Possibly a small micro switch that hits the end of the pin on the aerocatch when latched lighting a warning lamp.

Good bye Locost 7 Hello GT40!!

Hi Phil: CP8250 are not too expensive. Keep in mind if you decide to go to 1.250" x 11.75" or 1.25" x 12.19" discs to use an 8 bolt on 7" bolt circle .312 holes. This is the most common bolt circle used on high production racing brake discs. It will really keep your costs down on...

Sounds good. Not sure if you knew but you can buy a set of 180 degree headers from Shoenfeld here in the states not to expensive. You would have to modify them to go down the center though as they are built to go out the right side of a stock car. Love the bending fixture! Cheers

Nicks Forte Scratch Build - to Stunning Mk1 GTD

Hi Nick: Like Jim C. said it takes a lot of courage to do a scratch build. I personally started with no plans to work from ,just some measurements that Russ Noble helped me with. You should not feel like you have to explain or defend your reasoning. We all have different ways of doing things...
