    GT40 in a single garage?

yes, it can be done - but you have to be very careful - - or "pull" it out / "push" it in by hand. photo is of the Sheik's garage & cars during his build - - he built both in this garage! Dave

Unfinished DRB GT 40 for sale

After thinking about this long and hard, I’ve come to the conclusion that I am no longer at a point in my life where I will be able to / desire to finish my GT 40 project. So, It’s time to sell it off to someone who will take it to completion and enjoy the journey! So; Standard Spec DRB...

hell of an air show coming up

Just got back from a "mini" air show last week in northern Calif. (Santa Rosa airport). The Collins foundation flew in there B17, B24, B25 & training version of a P51. For $12.00 we got to climb around inside of the B24 & B17 for as long as we wanted to. some really great memories there...

    Valvetrain issue

In your initial post you mentioned "Poly lock" nuts? I've never seen those used on the rocker arm nuts - I've only seen a oversized nut with "internal" set screws to lock the nut tight after adjustment (or on older stock engines a "deformed" nut that self locks). Maybe Jac Mac will jump in...

    wanted unfinished GT40 project

I may be interested in selling my part completed DRB (Australia kit) GT-40. It's a solid kit, I am just not in a position at this point to have an expensive toy in the garage that's not finished. No engine, has Porsche G50 trans axle has reached the initial build up state to make...

    drag strip

you can always do the "cheap fix" we all did back in High School - drill a hole between the two sandwiching metal parts and the rubber mount (through all 3 parts) and place a long bolt thru it. put a lock nut (nylock) on the bolt but don't tighten it down tight, let it have a 1/2" - 1" gap...

    OMG

Jim, to answer your question - If a gun store owner sold this guy a gun 14 days ago 1) because the required federal check prior to purchasing a gun came back CLEAN then yes indeed - the Federal GOVERNMENT committed a crime and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. 2)...

    OMG

I usually don't chime in on these issues because you will never change someone's mind about this specific issue, but this time I will 1) taking away the right to keep and bear arms for LAW ABIDING CITIZENS does NOT stop crime or atrocities like this on at the Navy yard. case in point...

    Dbr gt40 mk6 1968 ???

Hi Thomas, Ok, this is definitely not a newer DRB chassis from when Peter Ransom has been owner of the company. I don't know the full history of DRB prior to Peter. Maybe Pete can get some data on the first chassis ?? Pete? (you might send him a PM and ask if he'll find out)...

    Dbr gt40 mk6 1968 ???

That document is the registration from Alabama - so I'm not sure if some of the data is correct, or "provided by the owner" - - by that I mean, depending on how long ago the car was first registered (appears to be registered in Alabama in 2002) - some of the data may have been more "liberally"...

    Dbr gt40 mk6 1968 ???

Unless DRB has changed their name, or sold to someone else, the chassis from that other thread is indeed from DRB (at least it's exactly the same as mine and mine came from DRB). so, either a typo, or something's changed at the factory! dave

    Dbr gt40 mk6 1968 ???

if you show us a photo of the chassis in the engine compartment either Pete or I can tell you if it's a DRB chassis and the Mark6 must be a "typo" / error dave harris

    The P.C. B.S. File.

a question for the lawyers in this group, since it has been classified as "workplace violence" and not "combat" does that not leave the Army open to personal lawsuits by the family members for "wrongful (sp?) death" or certainly civil suits against the bastard who did it (since it's...
