Jim,
This post is so old I don't know whether it's active. I see you're in Annapolis - I'm in Rockville, Md.
I'm having an overheating problem and noticed a bleed line from the radiator was suggested to you! Can this simply be a small plastic line or does it need to be as solid line...
Nick,
Unfortunately I don't have one on mine - I wish I did. You need it for safety reasons. You've got to remember that you're ridding around in a car that only 40 inches off the ground and hard for others to see! Further you're surrounded by two side mounted gas tanks. One solid side...
I'm a KVA owner so it looks like you got an interesting project. I can see some differences in your frame than mine but the body looks the same!
One suggestion that I'd make is to add a roll cage to the frame while you've got everything apart!

Ron,
It looks like you've worked out most of the bugs in your GT40 bot! You might want to consider posting them to a new separate page say "New Posts - Sales" rather then cluttering up the "New Posts" page!

Here's a option that not many people consider. I started out with it. It uses a specifically designed frame which holds an Oldsmobile engine and transaxle. This engine combination is plentiful and cheap and powerful.
Attached are a few pictures. If you're interested, get back to me and I'll...
Guys,
I've been looking to replace my knob too - I've seen a number of them on ebay.
Search on "20 1/2 knob" on ebay motors!
Good luck

Bill,
I finally got around to replacing the ring gear. Your detailed instructions on how to do that were very helpful and I wanted to again thank you.
There were a few minor differences in my setup from yours! Mine does have a hydraulic TOB release setup (I only had to remove the pin from...
Bill,
Thanks for taking the time to give me detailed instructions for replacing my ring gear - it seems like a very delicate projects with many steps to remember! I kinda believe that my problem was caused by too much timing on start up which as you suggest could cause the engine to kick...
Bill,
I read you thread re: Porsche 930 ring gears - my starter just chewed up a couple of teeth on my ring gear.
Do you have any tips or suggestions on the best way to pull the transaxle to replace the ring gear. I have my 930 transaxle mated to a small block Chevy!
Are there any steps...
Thomas,
Mine is for sale - about 96% complete with a few minor issues. It's located on the East Coast and I was asking @ $65K.
Email me at [email protected] if you're interested and I 'll provide more details!
John
I have a KVA and am aware that Ken was given permission to use the molds. However this one does not look like it came from the original GT40 molds!
