    4 piston callipers & 15” wheels

Ryan, I will check, I assume by 61mm depth you mean pad thickness including backing? I remember that I had options for different disc thickness with the same caliper, in which case the spacer in between the two caliper halves changes thickness, so that the same pad fits any case. i.e pad...

    GTD throttle cable re-routing

David I was working on my car last night, cable comes in from the rear and has always been fine. If I routed it through the front it would at least be a challenge and might even need a bell crank at the engine as the bend radius would be too small. So, could be done but might need a bell crank. 4 piston callipers & 15” wheels

Ryan, fronts I used 310mm discs with universal alloy bells (machine depth to suit) and got my own caliper mounts made to suit granada uprights and Wilwood Superlites. Rear I used alloy bells again but with HiSpec calipers and a Wilwood disc. I have a thread for front and rear if you care to look...

Installation of Jenveys with Emerald ECU on my 302

So with the help of Jacmac and others I established that the clearance at the intake manifold ends was too small for the cork gaskets so I used instant gasket to finally install it. This weekend I fitted the hp pump, filter, and surge tank, made up all pipework up to the PRV. Just the return...

Help! Intake manifold not fitting well

 Panic over, when I remove the cork gaskets, I only need to nip the 4 corner bolts to seal everywhere, the gap at the ends is only 0.6 to 0.7mm, this will come down a little more when all bolts are tight, so I will just use some sealant to complete the job. Thanks for your help guys...

Help! Intake manifold not fitting well

Thanks Andy, once I do Jacs checks I will be able to see if that works for me. If I can do it without resorting to machining I will

Help! Intake manifold not fitting well

Thanks Rod and Bob, The block I don' t think has been planed but dont know for sure. The pistons are flat top and flush with the block if that is a clue. The heads I bought new so definitely not planed. They are Edelbrock Performer RPM heads. Dave

Help! Intake manifold not fitting well

Thanks Tom, it fits at the top, clear at the bottom every cylinder. Same both sides, I easily got a 3 thou feeler in there, I will see how much more I can get in tomorrow then I will undo and check without Cork etc as Jac said. Dave

Help! Intake manifold not fitting well

I fitted the intake manifold, but was suspicious of the fit as the lower part of the gasket looked a bit loose, sure enough I can get a feeler gauge in there. Not just in one place, but each cylinder. The top part of the gasket is sealed but not the bottom as though the angle is different. As I...

Bob, if my post seems a little out of place, I was responding to post #72, for some reason I thought it was current.

    Tornado GT40 in Texas

Bob, I like your minimalist approach, it is probably what I would do from scratch, but since I am converting an existing Holley system to EFI on a timescale, I have thought about it, but opted for keeping the existing Low pressure system. In particular, the connected tanks idea still keeps...

    Fuel Pressure explained

Ian, interesting points, agreed fuel return needs to come from the surge tank to take away any air (two returns would be ott I think), and you made me realise that with low tanks under braking, air can easily be drawn in. What I am thinking is that the LP pump delivers a rated flow at a...
