    Kyosho GT40 Nitro car

I have just unwrapped my Christmas present to myself. I have managed to buy one of them in brand new unassembled condition. These have been unavailable for many years now. Anyone else out there got one?

    Rugby World Cup

Well. In the news today the Poms are complaining that they have not got the ball that scored the winning goal. Now I have nothing against the Poms, in fact England is my favourite third world country but this is just too much. This is the country that will not release the "ashes" because they are...

    GT40 tyre sizes

These are a really nice looking set of wheels. I know wheels are a personal thing but I saw a Cobra a few days ago with highly chromed 20inch wheels bearing no resemblance to a normal style. I just wish I'd had a camera with me.He was running normal sized brakes and they looked like they were...

    Another Shelby Lawsuit

The plot thickens. I was at a Cobra meet last Sunday and the rep for Superformance (South African company) was telling me the guy who owns Superformance had bought AC Cars so really the Superformance cars could now be deemed to be AC Cobras. Their cars are beautifully built and they have just...

    Internet access

This is really directed to OZ users . I use Telstra Cable at home and it is near useless. At work they use another provider whose name escapes me but we have no downtime. Ziggy seems to get the money and I get the crappy service. I'm not against change.... any suggestions? Regards

    Building a frame

Why bother... just buy a reputable one that has been designed properly, built in a jig and welded well. They are a cheap part of the overall car so nothing really is to be gained by starting from scratch. Regards

    Keyless starter

A mate of mine has a great system in his car where he has to put his finger on a screw on the dash to complete the circuit. Regards

    Is it REAL?

I suspect in a lot of cases it is because people actually want to start a conversation with the owner and this is the first thing they think of. Maybe we should cut them some slack until the smart arses can be culled from the genuinely interested. Regards

RF40 wins at Geelong Speed Trials

I was to busy trying to remember my own times but it was if i recall correctly low 12s. There were several Cobras between Ross and I and one or two Cobras behind me. Regards

RF40 wins at Geelong Speed Trials

Yes. Ross left all the Cobra owners in his wake. They were mostly Robnell Cobra Reps running 429s. These are really great replicas. Danny in answer to your question mine is the red car. The yellow car is my next door neighbor so you can imagine the competition. Last year there was only the two...

RF40 wins at Geelong Speed Trials

Last weekend saw the running of the Geelong Speed Trials. About an hours drive out of Melbourne this historic event sees vintage sports cars Coopers Lotus F5000 etc up to moderns run over a 1/4 mile course along the seafront. Ross Nicol's RF40 won our class beating all the 'GT40 owners in...

    GT Mk1 aerodynamics

How fast do people want to go? My RF40 feels very stable at 150 mph, but it has had some serious imput during its design by a really top race engineer which I believe is a major factor in its on road manners. Regards

Audi OIE 6 speed in RF

why not forget first and drive as a 5 speed. I leave first alone most of the time in the current Audi box. Early Austin Healeys had first gear blanked off if I recall so they had a three speed box with overdrive. The benefit of this box that I can see is it should be much stronger and the ratios...

    Thanks for nothing Ferrari

It should not be over looked that this was a tour with a long leadtime of organising and the Ferrari visit was to follow visits to Jaguar,Porsche,Mercedes and Lamborgini. Cameras were not to be used at any of these which is fair enough. Ferrari on the other hand just basically lied as to the...

    Thanks for nothing Ferrari

One of the highlights on our great trip from Oz was a prearrainged visit to the Ferrari factory. During the Monza Gp we were told that "luca de boss" had banned visits to the factory as there was a new model coming down the line. This seemed a little strange as I am sure their planning would be...

    Lambo vs. Ford GT

Saw the new Lamborgini Gallardo being built at the factory last week and what a car. I cannot see the build quality or design of the new Ford GT coming close. The VW/Audi input must have Ferrari running scared. In fact after seeing the production of Jaguars,Mercedes, and Porsche the Lambo got my...
