    Rattlesnake...

The snake deal is some serious s&#%! We live in an area that has a lot of snakes but I have never seen any in my back yard (maybe because of artificial grass) and as a result have been lax on periodicaly checking things out. Our 2 mini Dachsunds love the back yard and have been terrorizing...

    Cool on a hot day

An additional problem on some cars is the AC ducting going to the dash vents is crushed (during assembly) and does not give you full low from the blower. I am going to pull the dash out and change them as mine are flattened. Dave

    Goodwood Festival of Speed 2009

Hi Frank, what does that car have for an engine? I hope to have my own Indy car done in time for next year. I was set back on that by the accident last year but am getting quite a bit done on it now. I will be posting some pictures of the progress pretty soon. Dave

    Corner weights on SPF2214

    Clutch help would be appreciated

The transaxle will come out if you remove the 4 bolts that attach the block to motor mounts. You can then tilt up the back the engine. Unless you hae modified the bellhousing so that you can reach the nuts on the inside, you will have to sepearte the bellhousing from the engine. Tha CAV clutch...

    sb100

This is not that hard, The CHP needs to verify the Vin,the CHP accepted my SPF chassis number as the vin.T The BAR referee station needs to look at your car (they don't test anymore), on my car I selected 1966 as the year and they required a closed PVC system, as I already had a PVC it was easy...

    Weber IDF. Again

Fuel pressure is critical, 3 1/2 max, take the idle jets out and blow some air thru the internal passages of the carb, verify float levels are correct.

SPF MKI, Bellhousings and all the other little stuff!

Hi Richard, your collectors should work. A spring is not needed on the slave set up, when you adjust it push the piston all the way down into the slave, adjust the clevis so that you have about 1/8 inch of clearance off the clutch fingers. The bearing that Mcleod supplies is a full run...

SPF MKI, Bellhousings and all the other little stuff!

Richard, good luck on a quick replacement of the exhausts, it took about 6 months to get my 302 headers! The factory was closed for a month in December and then they had to find a container to piggy back them to the US in. But it was all worth it in the end, the car is awesome! Dave

SPF MKI, Bellhousings and all the other little stuff!

2214 is finally up and running, we drove it to Reno last week, round trip of 1200 miles. I installed the Safir bell housing and flywheel/clutch combo and it works very well. The clutch is very smooth and the lighter weight does not affect the launch of the car. I highly recommend it. Dave

    air-conditioning spf mk2

I just drove 2214 to Reno and back (1200 round trip) and the AC worked ok but I have not sealed the area between the radiator and the nostrils and quite a bit of warm air comes into the footwell area, this is pretty hard for the AC to overcome. Also the fan does not seem to have the volume...
