    Engine Bay Heat

You can turn the fuel pump off and let the engine run for a couple of minutes before you shut down, that will depressurize the lines and lower the float level and it restart easier. Do you have any type of insulating material on your heat shields? Dave

Thermal Energy Storage, or why I've been scarce around here lately

Hi Mark, good luck in your new endeavor! I too have been on suicide watch for the last year and a half, waiting for the small bank that I have been working for to be shut down by the FDIC and parted out. Fortunately we were taken over by a much larger and better run bank and they were smart...

    Electric water pump

I have had very good success w/Mezier electric pumps, the original set up was 35 g/hr and worked fine with a 450 hp 347, now I am running a 55 g/hr remote pump. They are designed for street use and seem very reliable. Dave

    Adjusting SPF wheel bearings.

Richard, that clunking could be from the emergency brake shoes, they can stick in their mountings and chatter. I pulled mine apart and clearanced everything so that the shoes would slide like they are supposed to and now it is quiet. Dave

    1200 BHP superformance!

I am reminded of a bunch of Japanese engineers who showed up at a local drag strip years ago with a 1000 hp 300zx twin turbo, it made a lot of wooshing noises but did nothing but smoke the tires. 450 hp will push these cars way beyond their hull speed, I have to ask as well, what is the point...

Buy new 351w block or used engine? Pro/Con?

A really good option is the one mentioned in an earlier post. My son and I pulled a 351 out of a late 80's Ford van and built it for his 65 Mustang. It was standard bore, set up for hydraulic roller cam with a one piece rear seal. It was cheap and was a very good place to start, we used a...

    California Registration SB100 information

    Hi From California

Since that car is already titled as a 1993 I think it will be difficult to register in California, it will need to meet 93 emissions standards. This per my sister who runs a DMV office in CA. Dave
