    Weber Carbs for fuel injection?

Thanks, Al! The car has just been road tested for an article in Car & Driver. I give some of the details in the Superformance forum.

'Car & Driver' Magazine Test of P/2192

Some of you may have heard that Dennis Olthoff delivered my Superformance Mk. I to Car & Driver magazine for a road test. Olthoff Racing did a superb job preparing the car – fantastic attention to detail, in keeping with their reputation. [For background, they installed my Keith Craft...

Original Specification Parts **PICTURES ONLY**DO NOT COMMENT

Is it only my computer or have all of the great photos from James been deleted from his posts? They're a fantastic resource and if anyone knows where else they may be found, please let me know. Thanks! Kim

SPF Owners in Ft. Lauderdale Area?

It is rumored – rumored mind you – that my car may be ready next week, whereupon I will be driving it south to Florida with jubilant abandon. In the event that I do actually obtain custody of my Mk.I, I was wondering if there might be some other Superformance owners around Ft. Lauderdale...

    Weber Carbs for fuel injection?

Here's another look at the TWM setup using their 'Nostalgia Look' Weber-style velocity stacks. They use tall stacks in a brushed aluminum and have a very 1960's look - no polishing here! I installed them on SPF P/2192.

    Engine Serial Numbers

Can anyone explain to me how, back in the day, they coded engine serial numbers for the GT40 Mk I? I'm creating a data plate for the engine compartment and would like to replicate something that will approximate the naming protocol used by FAV or JW Automotive. Thanks, guys! Kim

    GT40's at VIR Memorial Day

P2192 – an SPF Mk I – was run through the paces by Car & Driver magazine about two weeks ago. Unfortunately, the road test wasn't completed and a couple of items, such as the 0-60 mph run, weren't finished. It's my understanding that Dennis Olthoff is returning with the car to the Chrysler...

    Le Mans Tech Stickers

Does anyone have a photo of a scrutineer's tech sticker from the window of a mid-60's GT40 competing at the Le Mans 24 hour race? Any other similar tech stickers from that era would also be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Kim

#2228 delivered but not on the road

Daryl: So tell us, how do you negotiate tollways with your GT40? Apart from an electronic pass (e.g., SunPass), and without benefit of a sliding window, I'm guessing that you either: a) open the door and pitch the coins up and behind you, like a vehicular three-pointer, keeping plenty...

    Round Driving Light Option?

Many thanks, guys! Some great leads; now I just have to wait for my car to be ready for pick-up (maybe next Thursday!). Once I have it home I'll begin some of the more esoteric modifications, and this will probably be the first. Kim

#2228 delivered but not on the road

I have to agree with Chuck. My car (P/2192) is also being delivered by Dennis Olthoff, and I have to say he is a perfectionist of the first order. Undoubtedly I could have pressed to have the car delivered earlier, but then I'd probably be experiencing some of the same problems you're having...

    GT40's at VIR Memorial Day

This was a fantastic event! Dozens of Cobras, along with a Lotus, a NASCAR veteran, a Porsche, a Viper or two, and at least four GT40s – including the debut of my car, P2192! It was my first time behind the wheel, and although I haven't officially taken possession yet (it's on the way to...

Lucas mirror ? for Doc Watson

Andy: No worries, I ended up finding another one in the UK; it's presently winging its way to the states. Did you win the bid? I hope one of ours got it! Kim

    SPF vs. Original

As I sit on my hands, waiting to see if this will really be the month when I take delivery of P/2192, I started wondering: Assuming a right-hand steering car, what are the tell-tales that would distinguish a Superformance Mk I from an original car? Specifically, when viewed from the outside...

Lucas mirror ? for Doc Watson

Anyone have a source for Lucas 608 mirror? Does anyone have a source for the elusive Lucas 608 mirror? I've been checking Ebay with little success. If you have one, by all means send me a PM and we can work out a deal. Thanks! (I trust that this won't be perceived as hijacking the thread...

    individual Weber screens

Re: Individual Weber/TWM Screens I've been reading this thread with great interest for some months now with an eye to finding some solution for my TWM 'nostalgia' velocity stacks other than the soda-can style filters that Roush and others use. My concern regarding the tea strainer route has...

    Round Driving Light Option?

Has anyone successfully replaced the standard fog light/turn signal array located under the headlights with the larger, round driving lights found on several of the Mk I cars (e.g., P/1076)? I thought I had read somewhere that one of our colleagues had located these driving lights with built-in...
