    T70 Onboard Donnington

IIRC, Olly did a low 1:31 on the full circuit in the 3b in 2009. The car is running a lot better now :) Darren

    T70 Onboard Donnington

Just had a look at the provisional entry list for donnington. http://www.doningtonhistoric.com/wp-content/uploads/DHF-Provisional-Entry-List-18.04.11.pdf Looks like 8 T70's a Mk1, 2 Mk3's and 5 Mk3b's. Also quite a few GT40's and Chevrons. Looks interesting, 1000km race split over 4 meetings...

    T70 Onboard Donnington

Trans is original Hewland LG500, just with the correct ratio's fitted for the circuit. Unfortunately, won't be at Donny this time around. I think Olly is there as he did the press day with their Mk3, SL73-130. He's just as quick in that! Cheers, Darren

    T70 Onboard Donnington

Olly Bryant in SL76/141 around Donny. Engine sounds great and you wouldn't think an LG500 would shift gears like that. This is how a T70 should be driven.... YouTube - Donington Park Lola T70Mk3b 1m09s Enjoy. Darren

    T70 spyder wide rear

Just out of curiosity Mark, but where/whom did you buy it from. Might give a trail back to the car its from. Darren

    T70 spyder wide rear

I had similar thoughts to you Johan. Maybe this car. It did have a shunt that damaged the rear end after it lost a tyre valve. If I recall correctly it ran 14" rears. Ex Peter Dunn-DUST Racing-run car. Darren

    Silverstone Classic 2009 !

Funnily enough I am. I started out as an engine builder, at Nicholson Mclaren, and built DFV's for F1, F3000, and Group C, and although they had many race and championship wins, you always felt slightly detatched. Historic racing is a lot more grass roots and ultimately, more personal. Blimey...

    Silverstone Classic 2009 !

Thanks Chris. Unfortunately am completely out of Motor racing now and have no contact with T70's anymore. A great era in my life now passed. Built all the continuation cars, restored or repaired most of the originals and helped run a couple of the quickest still racing. And built the engines of...

    Silverstone Classic 2009 !

Thanks Brian. I've got absolute reams of stuff from the 3b continuation car builds that I keep thinking I should do a feature on sometime. Funny that with the popularity of the T70 that Lola didn't come and document any builds for themselves. It's a shame as all that detail would be lost for...

    Tacho's and bits

Here you go then. Fronts/ shorter pair are 9.5" -13" and rears are 11.5"-16". Not sure what the spring's are. The T70 they came off was built in the State's and have no id markings on them at all. Cheers. Darren

    Tacho's and bits

HI all. Having a bit of a clear out and have 2 tacho's up for grabs. One is an Elliot, the other a Smiths with rotating bezel. See pics. Both were removed in good working order and are wired to suit MSD ign systems. Thought about £50 each. Also got a set of American Manuf. QA1 coil-overs. Ali...

T70 at Canepa Design (Scotts Valley, CA)

Just as a P.S to Johan's words, current UK market would dictate around £450-650,000 for a good original Mk3 with history and around £750,000 for an "original" 3b. We, sorry I meant Lola, did build one more 3b after the one in this thread that is now owned and raced in the Masters series by...

    Scalextric without slots

This could be the one. My cousin had one and while it was fun, he had a "Cops and robbers" set with police car with flashing lights, the cars were quite unpredictable and not as good for racing as Scalextric. Also only 1/43 scale and not as good as the Aroura AFX stuff. Welcome Darren

    T70 in Octane Magazine

Its usually a case of just de-rivetting the bent panels and re-making the bent panels as necessary. Not a difficult job for us as we make the continuation chassis' and have all the patterns and jigs.
