Houston Foxbody autocrosser aspiring for GT40 ownership

Welcome to the forum fellow fox owner! Couple of years back I located my old 85 notch back that I owned from 1986-1994. It was in a field behind a guy's house, deteriorating away. I restored it with my daughter, complete tear down to the bare chassis and rebuild, and she drives it daily now.

Well, lots of airplane construction techniques can seem antiqued I suppose. Tried and true! Maybe I should say the aircraft's design seems a bit antiquated, but hey, it's got some roots in a truly beautiful antiquated biplane :

Not many of those Hyperbipes were built/registered. I remember as a kid in the 70s reading my dad's aviation magazines and the plane appeared on the cover of a couple of them. Always thought it was cool but now looking back it seems a pretty antiquated design, steel and plywood.

That's not as bad as I would think! Wood props are certainly a specialty item. I figured it'd be considerably more.

Warch the trailer--are you going to see Ford v. Ferrari? here's a review just of the trailer

Nope, not gonna happen. Ford vs. Ferrari is far too limited in demographic scope to warrant a ride at Disneyland. The film will not have the wide-spread appeal of Star Wars, Cars, Toy Story, Harry Potter, Star Trek, and other benchmarks which have rides, or, entire parks devoted to them. Who...

Thank you Ian. I enjoyed Keith's postings, his wit, and passion. Although I never met him in person I felt as if I knew him well and would have loved to have bought him a few pints.

    Announcement: RCR Forums Are Moving

I'm not too keen on keeping individual make forums around for particular brands. Inevitably the company decides to take another direction and we are left with a subforum sporting their name that may, or may not, be populated by a bunch of threads. It also fosters division and isolation in the...

Can you tag or name images?

Heh heh! I am planning a "Sydney Motorsports Collage" here soon where I'll use a lot of pictures of her with cars over the years. She's off to college in five weeks so she's leaving the nest.

    Announcement: RCR Forums Are Moving

Hi folks, Just to let you know, these forums (including the SLC Clubhouse) will be moving into the Wings, Wheels, and Keels area of GT40s.com over the next few days. There might be some outages while that occurs. All threads and info will be perfectly preserved, however, external links to the...

    Overheating....

What Bill said. Best thing is to run a thermostat and fix the cooling system. Sound like you need a properly sized header tank, high enough to bleed the air out of the engine, you're on the right track. I spent quite a bit of time sorting this on the Lola T70 replica and once I got it sorted it...

    Just a comment or two

Hi Folks, As I explained on one of the other threads, Superformance might be willing to pay for the forum to continue, however, I've made the decision that the model of a handful of sponsors (Superformance is one of those) is not a long term solution to keeping GT40s.com alive. RCR...
