Then you might like to make a side shift setup (well top shift actually) where the fulcrum plate bolts on

    Does size matter ?

What Jim says. Although I would hope the fluid level would be checked and topped up at least a couple of times between new pads and stuffed pads!! Plus I always prefer my reservoirs above the level of the calipers which if you've got floor mounted pedals dictates a higher remote reservoir...

    Summit AN fitings

Being financially disadvantaged I have usually bought AN fittings on price. I have Summit, Earls, Russell, Aeroquip and SRP mixed up everywhere on my car, not to mention the odd fittings we have machined up or fabricated ourselves. No problems.

    South Island NZ GT40

Allan Dunn's DRB. Talking to him last weekend at the OSCA prize giving in Timaru. It's for sale. Very smart car, beautifully finished. Aussie V8 Supercar based motor. G50 trans.

    Rear Spindle Hubs

Charlie, a photo would be worth a thousand words! I see it appears you have gone with the T-bird option after initially checking out the Corvette setup. What were your reasons? How far on is your car? Are you going to do a build thread? And Phil, I know you have opted to build your own...

    Rear Spindle Hubs

Out of interest, how does the durability of the bearings compare to the Corvette option that many use? Which is bigger, better etc. ? Not much chance to go down to a wreckers yard here and sift through a heap of T-bird, Corvette stuff, it's just not around.

    Scratchbuilt 'Kiwi 40' goes racing.

Jeez Jac Mac, why didn't you say! I wondered why the bloody thing was 254% the size I expected..... That must also be why it weighs 28kg instead of 11kg..... I'll make a new one over the winter..... in my spare time LOL  :cussing:

    Tornado TS40 #875

Don't wory Scott, it's only the rear one. By the sound of it, I don't believe anyone would have come up behind you to read it. ;) :pepper:

    Supercharged Triumph Herald Estate

Hmm... interesting. These were used in many single seaters in the mid to late sixties, although if you had to replace them it was always hard to find any from the wreckers that would pass a crack test inspection!

    Track day dilema... Wreck involved.

I agree 100% with Ron. Track days to me appear to be an abomination where some guys with expensive cars and more money than talent can go on an ego trip. We don't have much in the way of tracks days in this part of the world, although they are becoming more prevalent, so if those guys want...

    G50 Strange shift pattern

    Scratchbuilt 'Kiwi 40' goes racing.

Cam, I won't be writing that on the build thread. It's a build thread, not a crash repair thread! LOL. However I will be detailing the off season mods and improvements. Which hopefully will make me a bit more competitive next season with those bloody OSCA cars! And hopefully also will mean I...

    Classic Car Developments Chassis #3

Wow, that's some woman! Lucky Brian. She hasn't got a sister by any chance?! ;) Good to see you're still finding bits. Are you expecting the chassis any time soon? Cheers.

    Scratchbuilt 'Kiwi 40' goes racing.

Like the armco guard rails on what is reputed to be "the most dangerous corner of any NZ circuit on a wet day"......Bumpy, water puddling on the track, and no where to go when it all turns to custard......110mph in the dry, somewhat less in the wet. Saturday morning in Christchurch loomed...

    Anzac Day.

Yeah that's food for thought Pete. Well penned. I've just got back from one of the ANZAC parades here in town. I was wearing my dads medals from WW2, as do many of the descendants of those ANZAC servicemen no longer with us. The ANZAC rememberance gets larger every year with many youngsters...

    Jokes anyone? -

Aussie blondes....... "Hi Mum, How are you?" "Hi Julie, where are you? I thought you were with your father at Bunnings." "Yeah we were, but I got arrested, and they've let me make one phone call." "What happened?" "Oh, I punched this Aboriginal woman in the head." "What on...

    Scratchbuilt 'Kiwi 40' goes racing.

Leon, the meeting on 1 May is the last, although there is a club 'fun day' on the 2nd that I'll do, where helpers, sponsors, friends etc can be taken for rides around the track in the race cars. Or they can drive it themselves if the owner allows. (That's not going to happen in this case!)...
