Kia Ora you fullahs (and gidday dingos) Three Australians and three Maori's are travelling by train to a Rugby match at the World Cup in England . At the station, the three Aussies each buy a ticket and watch as the three Kiwis buy just one ticket between them. "How are the three of you going...

    Kiwi scratchbuilt

Thanks Trevor, it never even occured to me that the mfrs would have a recommended temp. I've never heard anyone refer to it, but it stands to reason. I have just been using temps as a means of getting the most suitable camber and tyre pressure to get even temps across each tyre. Early days in...

    Kiwi scratchbuilt

Trevor, Thanks for the comments. I don't have the temperature data with me at present but I'm pretty sure the Dunlops were up to temp. For most of the warm up lap it would break into wheelspin when it came on the cam in 2nd gear. That doesn't happen once they get some heat in them and never...

    Kiwi scratchbuilt

Well the racing season is over and the last nine months have been a pretty frenetic time of prepare, repair, and alter setup. Now I have until the first club meeting of the new season, 1st August, to make a whole raft of improvements, some minor, some major, that will lead to better lap times...

No doubt it is covered in the regs, but does anyone know at what point an assembly of spare parts is deemed to be a spare car?

    A GT40 for Havelock NZ

Good luck Gary. At least you have some idea of what you're getting yourself in to..... Unless you're in the multi-millionaire category, one's own business is never conducive to car building or other projects! You hit the nail on the head with your time/money analysis. Oh to live somewhere...

Ah Terry, anything is possible. Remove the fulcrum plate, and the lever engagement slots on the selector rods are right there, you just have to make up the mechanism to engage and operate them through this hole. Not too difficult I would think, just a lever with a ball pivot as in any other...
