    Who are these people?

Kim, even though your dialogue might impress your high school english teacher, the point you try to make is neither correct or well reasoned.

    Who are these people?

have to agree with Al on this. Do we as citizens no longer have the right to disagree with the president? Does disagreement equate with being a racist? Is an off topic part of a car forum not entitled to post sensitive issues? Does being a business owner mean you cannot or should not question...

    SPF v. CAV

    good point

    SPF v. CAV

correct on the BDR, however, I do not see how you can justify the price difference btween the BDR and the CAV

    SPF v. CAV

oh yea, a couple of more things that you might find important. The shifter on the SPF is terrible. Olthoff can retrofit a solid shifter to your SPF and I heard it is better, as is the other mods to the existing shifter cable mechanism the David offers. the CAV shifter that came with my car was...

    SPF v. CAV

David is exactly correct on the suspension, the SPF suspension is superb, it is funny though, I much prefer the brakes on the CAV and I have the older PBR not the newer big wilwoods, I always felt like I had to stand on the brakes to get it to slow down in the mK11 and the CAV will stand you on...

    SPF v. CAV

personally, I would shop price. You can find SPF and CAV cars that are well built with great powertrains for far less than what the owner has in them. Originality was a great point of concern for me when I bought my MK11 but comfort and practicality won at the end of the day. I enjoyed telling...

    SPF v. CAV

I do not think one has better glass than the other. I do think my CAV has thicker glass and the rear clam is more sturdy than my SPF was. that could be a function of the MK11 vrs MK1. Now thicker glass means more weight, so again one is not better than the other. I think the shape is very...

    pilot bushing

Is there a special pilot bushing that I need for my 347? A standard ford 302 bearing or bronze bushing does not have enough relief for the length of the input shaft on my ZF, the cogs on the shaft hit the face of the bushing.

    SPF v. CAV

that is exactly correct. I really wanted an original looking car and I like the SPF but of course when it comes down to it, it is not an original car and the compromises were a bit too much for me since I drive my car daily no matter the weather. since it is a replica, I wish SPF would have made...

    Healthcare

there seems to be some misunderstanding about this whole medical records issue and most of it is misinformation including Obama's constant blathering about how much can be saved by computor records. I have that system and it has saved nothing,it is complicated ,expensive and cumbersome and to...

    SPF v. CAV

I do not think mine was galvanized. I kept grease on the front of the MONO around the a arms to prevent rust. Now do not get the impression that I think the thing was going to rot away, but it is a mild concern.

    SPF v. CAV

I have owned both so I think I can speak with some authority. I had a MK11 SPF with a roush 427 and still own a CAV with a 347. In terms of quaility, about equal. The CAV seems to be more solid to me and may be the result of thicker fiberglass, the doors shut more soundly and seem to fit much...

    gt40p2112 help

I had 2102, which I believe was the first car in the US. I upgraded it where safety issues were concerned, but overall it performed well. I always felt the biggest issue was water intrusion and that can be improved. I would not hesitate to buy an early car if the price is right.

you have to love that guy, wish he were in our congress

    Wow, talk about an accident...

it is a sad situation, no doubt, but there is no debate on gun ownership in the US, it is a constitutional right. whether one likes it or not is incidental to that fact.

    GT40P2266 is almost done!

I wish you well and have a great time, however, you might be wise to do a 200 mile or so shake down around dennis's area before taking off. As good as Dennis is(he has worked on several of my cars) these cars tend to have teething issues. driving in the rain is to be avoided also. the big Avons...

Fellow firearm supporters... our are days numberd?

the US federal government is the second or third largest arms dealer in the world. We provide millions of arms to regimes that ultimatly turn them on us. Most of the Mexican army weapons are produced in the US and we all know that many of those end up in the wrong hands through corruption. this...

What is the "Best Color" for a GT40?

to me on a MK1, guardsman blue with wimbleton white stripes is the best. It is an original color.
