That was not a sleight on Ross by any means, but by all reports Iain's car is vastly different from Ross' and capable of competing in an open National category. Ross does amazingly well considering he develops the car himself and it is a true testament to his abilities that he is so competative...

As Bobski says, whilst low profile tyres are cool, I think the higher the profile the better they look on the GT40. A quick call to RF should let you know what you can and can't do. They have computer modelled the entire car and will be able to tell you if anything needs modfying. Cheers

Fred My car has 275's on a 9.5in rim (17in diam). The earlier stock RF's came out with 255's on the back on 15 or 16in diam rims. How wide do you want your tyres?

Look here There are some good old engines that come out of 70's Fords here in Oz that cost the equivalent of 150 - 200 GBP. Problem is shipping it halfway around the world..... We can't use them here in GT40's as they aren't emissions compliant.

Bill, I'd say let some of the scars heal by driving it on the road, as your confidence in the car increases so will the itch to give the car a sterner workout. I'm in the thows of gaining that confidence in my car so I think I understand where you are at. Enjoy - enjoy - enjoy...
