    FS EU Mirror stem

Looks like that has been turned up from the drawing I posted on here back in December 2021. https://www.gt40s.com/threads/looking-for-lucas-608-rear-mirror-parts.55740/#post-570006

    Seats

My webbing is 36mm, from Pirelli as I recall. Very similar to that pictured below. Hooks are 38mm Pirelli "A" hooks.

    Seats

No. I don't think you could get much stiffer than what I've got.

    Seats

Yes - I'm a biggish bloke, so anything to make room and comfort is desirable. Hooks are spring steel.

    Seats

Passenger side is as original, but, since I have an EWP, the diver's side seat back lacks the cutout that accommodates the usual bulge in the firewall that gives room for the mechanical water pump.

    DOME LIGHT

The interior of my spider is just painted metal, so I didn't want to drill holes in it. For an interior light I mounted a period number plate light on the far right hand side of the dash. Works well.

    New Zealand Floods

Have heard from various GT40 owners in the north and all appear to be damp, but OK.

    Wheels and tires on SPF

Just about to fit my second set of Avons on 15" wheels. Excellent tyres.

    Any 6"2" tall owners?

6'4" and fit comfortably in my original pattern monocoque. However the floor has been dropped under the driver's seat (original style webbing seat) by 10mm and pedal box moved as far forward as it can possibly go. Have a Gurney bubble, but only needed if wearing a crash helmet. Best advice is...

    Headlights

I managed to pickup some NOS Ford Escort (Lucas) lights many years ago. Very similar dimensions to the Marchals and the lens is nowhere near as deep as on the Viva units. They also have the hole for the park light.

    Another trip done and dusted.

Spent the weekend tootling around with a bunch of other motor-heads. Covered a little over 1200 km (750 miles) on some great driving roads.

    original door lock release mechanism

Internal lock mechanism is Rover, but striker plate is Vanguard or Triumph Mayflower. Rover striker plate can be made to work, but needs work. Vanguard/Triumph plates below and then with cap welded on; Rover plates last.

    GT40 Horns

I have used MKII Ford Zephyr, which I think are vaguely similar as well.

Frank Wigg - High quality ‘Toolroom’ GT40 replica built in New Zealand

I seem to recall Frank Wigg built maybe 5 cars. As far as I know, none remain in NZ. By all accounts they were fairly accurate and of high quality, but, never having seen one, I cannot attest to that. There are some parts shown in the video that differ slightly from an original, so he may have...

    That's looking really nice.

    Classic Car Developments Chassis #3

Took the car to its first proper show since before covid. Very popular, as always, especially with the youngsters. However, best in show was awarded to an immaculate 1931 Cord, and deservedly so.

    Rear clamshell measurement

3 7/16" (88mm) on Bill Hough body on CCD chassis.

    .

Was talking to someone a few years back who had a similar issue to you Cameron. He solved it by fitting an off-centre crank (as below) that allowed small openings at round town speeds and then WOT when accelerator was floored.

Thank you to all who have voted. Much appreciated. No idea how the voting works, but I just re-tried and got he already voted message.
