Heat extraction from under rear clip

I originally had fuel vapourisation issues when driving slowly on very hot days. Did very similar to what has been suggested above. i.e. installed a high volume fan to blow cool air around the engine. Turned on by a switch mounted behind my right shoulder on the bulkhead. Have not had an...

    Avid 2000 Road Trip

Laid the blame in the wrong place. Slave cylinder was not the initial fault. Rather, the clutch release shaft let go. Took the slave cylinder piston, push rod and clutch release lever with it though. Fortunately, I have been offered replacement parts by various people (a huge thanks to...

    Avid 2000 Road Trip

Weather has not been kind, and clutch slave cylinder let go near the end of day 2. Limped back to Te Anau and now waiting on a trailer to get the car back to Dunedin. Still, it was huge fun while it lasted.

    Body measuring needed, please..

The parts in the diagram above are metal on the original monos Ryan. The fibreglass side sills finish below the line indicated by "A". However, I take your point regarding fibreglass spiders/roof sections.

    Body measuring needed, please..

My mono is a CCD done to original dimensions. As you can hopefully see in the below photos the part of the mono you indicate slopes out very slightly from bottom to top. Distance A is 1670mm; distance B is 1682mm. Hope that helps.

GT40 on fire or how to prevent

Yes - install a decent fire suppression system, with nozzles in the cockpit and engine bay and hope like hell you never have to use it.

H&M Le Mans MKII Replica for NZ

I looked at the car a few times when it was still here in NZ, and talked a number of times with the owner. Even pointed him in the right direction a couple of times when tracking down such things as decals and so forth. Gave him a copy of the 1966 Le Mans soundtrack LP to go with the car. I'm...
