    It is a two pot paint. Seems to be standing up quite well. However, I have bought a knock-off removal tool recently to reduce the risk of my chipping the paint with the lead hammer.

    As pointed out, the colour on some of the original magnesium wheels is as a result of corrosion protection. However, I wanted to get something close on my aluminium wheels, so, after much searching I chose a Landrover colour (Maya Gold, code GAN) and am happy with the result. Photos show 1046s...

    I got these (15", 3 piece) from Image Wheels in the UK. Was able to specify backspace, number of pins, and pin spacing. Photos show them as they came, and after I had added a ring to eliminate the sharp delineation from rim to centre.

    Most of the water comes in under the doors and some down the sides of the doors. We have used weather-strip, but it does not do a complete job. Water gets in to the footwell through the various holes in the mono front bulkhead. Some also leaks in from the engine bay via the various removable...

    Yes - the flat black is painted. Did not include the roof vent because I really didn't need another entry for water... ;)
