Run and Gun is only 10 days away!

I did read the article in Kit Car and got alot of great pics and action shots and summary of events then read more on runngun.net about the 2007 event with all the classes, winners, times and so on but it still has never give me what types of cars did what. I see Mongoose's site say's they were...

Run and Gun is only 10 days away!

I may be wrong in saying this but I never see the Run and Gun results listed in magizines or their home page by anything other than the drivers. Its great that they get the credit but I am a little more interested in what cars did well. Is there a place to find this that I have over looked?

    Nice bump steer gage

I was going to do some more cross braces but after pressing the 3/4" OD 1/8 wall cromoly into the top bar I saw how stiff it was I just had to try it. You should have seen the one in drawn in the book I found this in, it was a wooden 1x1 frame and piano hinge.

    Nice bump steer gage

No, the wieght of the leaning frame is riding on the solid rod making contact with the plate at the other side. The hiems allow the frame to follow the plate and the toe in or out is measured by the indicator. With the set up I first built that had two indicators that were solid mounted I had...

    Nice bump steer gage

I was fighting the last bump steer gage that I made with two dial indicators on it when I came across this design in a book by Allan Staniforth called "Competition car suspension". It only uses one indicator and a following rod. It simply gives you the difference from front to back during...

    New Xtrac 6012 Supercar Transaxel

On another thread about why transaxels are so expensive the Xtrac 6012 is mention as being $25K. I think I'll stick with my G50/52.

    prefilter suggestion for LS6

After hunting around I found for EFI that the filters befor and after are different. The pump just can suck as hard as it can push the fuel so the prefilter is most likely a mesh type with -10 fittings and 75 to 100 micron. The post filter is down to 20-25 micron. Not really listed in Jeg's or...

    prefilter suggestion for LS6

I think I am in need of a prefilter between the tanks and the Bosch efi pump. Is there an inline one that will have nearly zero resistance? I know the stock pump when in the tank has that sock type over the pickup so didnt know if an inline filter will work. thanks,

Still not hearing what I want to hear!

I dont know just how competitive the car building bussiness is but is there any chance another company would have covert ops to discredit a competitor?

    Got a GTreproductions Chassis today......

I got to playing around with dialing out any bump steer. Can you ever get it to Zero or is a couple tenth's of one degree good enough?

    Complete turn key car

Fran, what is the chance of seeing the SL-C, Ultima and Mongoose all at the Run&Gun that is comming up?

    Complete turn key car

The current time frame Fran described sounds very reasonable to me for a car that has just come onto the market and they are still working to get ahead of the the orders. If you know what you want, wait for it, dont sacrifice.

Ernie, What do you guys use for the throttle body on a LS7 motor? Do you convert to a manual cable throttle body or keep the fly by wire? thanks,

    Mendeola

Fran, Is the trans you have a finished product or one for mock up? I think with it comming plumbed for a cooler and the little more money for the ground and polished gears and 625 ft/lb (if I recall correct) this will be a good option.

    Mendeola

Crash, I dont think you have to worry about Mendeola waiting to get commitment before they get this to market. I have seen pallets and pallets of these allready being machined. They have been doing some rigorous testing to make sure things are correct before it goes out and I sure it will not...

    Mendeola

Mendeola is here in San Diego and I run into Mike now and then so I have been following this gearbox. I think with having bellhousings that bolt right up to the block with no adapter and the option for clutch's that is available this is a trick setup. And there is a 4 cable shifter for it that...
