I think the SGT loom is pretty close to the GTD one if not a direct fit.

Fair enough but my experience is the opposite, realsteel always seem to be awaiting stock from the states, not been to either so from a mail order point of view the location is irrelevant or at least it was pre-brexit, that of course may have changed things.

It’s easy with an older (pre 72 I think) block as visual smoke only.

I got through with a Holley 750 on a 347 all ok, it is doable, needed to warm up first though.

Yup 518 used as per the lotus notes, possibly too much however I wasn’t taking any chances as the initial rebuild was done with what looks like bathroom sealant and it leaked like sieve… Happy to say car is now running again, good as new. And no leaks ;) I’ll do an oil change after 500 miles...

She’s all back together and ready to refit this week all being well. I’ve filled it with oil and no leaks so already an improvement over the last time it went in…

Evening all, Just finished redoing the gearbox and have a final question, I knocked in both of the output shaft gear seals but think I have gone too far with one of them? What is everyone’s opinion pull it out and buy another or it will be fine as it is??? In the pics you can see I set them...
