How to get video on you tube

Ok I have managed to DIY a video onto you tube all by myself without the help of my son. This on it's own has provided me with much pleasure. I looked through the forum for a suitable area to post my 'how to' and this seems the most appropriate place. Firstly I will declare I am not an expert...

latest race video From Phillip Island 18th May

Hi Pete I think after 4 years I've got into a bad habit of driving it like that.To be honest the steering is still heavy in the corners but is a hell of a lot lighter than it used to be. Ross

latest race video From Phillip Island 18th May

Here is the video from the race at PI.Started dry and got a bit too wet for slicks.Note the yellow Lambo that failed to get off the line then caught us only to spin off after Honda corner.YouTube - GT40 Racing at Phillip Island May 2008 Ross

Race Report Phillip Island 16,17 and 18th May 2008

Yes Jac Mac is absolutely right Dalton, I'm only just getting started. It's been a long journey sorting this car's handling out, mostly because of my desire to do it myself with help and advice from Jac Mac and others.I have to prove to myself the benefits of a change and with my limited funds...

R Earp - May CMP Race with the 260Z

Thoroughly enjoyed the videos Ron, the sound of the Datsun 6 from inside the car is just like I remember. My racing 260z/ with L28 motor had 160 RWHP with the original twin SU carbs and in that configuration lapped Phillip Island in 1min 57sec.A friend of mine in a 240z with triple webers and...

Race Report Phillip Island 16,17 and 18th May 2008

Yes these reports don't stay up very long seemingly due to the fact that they are only reports and understandably there are just a few replies. I have a video of the race where I make time up on the P....... cars so I'll do my best to get it for all to view. Like others here I'm a bit challenged...

    Oil Leak from ZF

Tom When you remove the cover you do have to take care. There are 2 bearings with shims that will either stay inside the cover or stick to the back of the bearing, if the latter is the case get the shims off the bearing and place them in their correct location in the cover immediately. Make sure...

    Oil Leak from ZF

I think you'll have to pull the cover off and replace the gasket Tom. The oil should not be able to escape up the long studs that hold the cover on. Ross

Race Report Phillip Island 16,17 and 18th May 2008

Got half way through this report last night and the power went off, so I lost some of my time into cyber space and am having to start all over again. I talked the wife (Cheryl) into working for me at the factory and off I went to PI for friday practice. The day dawned nice and fine and I set off...

Well, I wasn't going to tell anyone......

I've developed a system that works for me. Every time the rear clip is closed I fit the locking pins and over centre catches as well. I lock one side and then move around the car and lock the other. I don't entrust this job to anyone else and so far so good I haven't had a problem.I will admit...

    Brands Hatch race report 27/4/08

Nice place and well maintained too.I'd like to have a go there, love the undulations.Bit like Winton and Calder for spectators as you can see pretty much the whole track. The trees at Phillip Island have blocked the view of much of the track around the back of the circuit but it's a brilliant...

    tyre pressures

Huw the Ford GT tyre pressures could be a starting point. Contact J Clarkson he will most likely remember them. Only joking. You wouldn't be too far out with pressures from a car of similar weight and tyres.I honestly think there are too many variables for anyone to say any pressure will be...

    Cobra track day

Got a bit close on the 2nd one there Chris. I guessed they were road tyres, squeeling like pigs. As for the 1 hour at Phillip Island, I still dont have a big enough tank and fitting one just for 1 race meeting doesn't make a lot of sense, but then when have I ever had any, sense that is. Winton race report 12th,13th April

Yep there are a helluva lot of things I could have spent that grand on.But Russ aren't you the guy that was going to use a dunger motor but wasn't able to resist the bling of what money can buy? The video will go back in for Phillip Island Russ. The trouble with me is I get distracted too easily...

    Winton race report 12th,13th April

Yep ran with no bars at all Bill. One of the things my test proved is how these blades on my adjustable bars do not effectively remove the bar when at minimum setting. It was also the first time the car has felt driveable at Winton. So I'm on the right track with the handling. The bar would have...

Production Sports - how to beat a Careera Cup car

Well done Tim, wish I could bag a first place. The Lotus Exige I was dicing with was white and driven by Mark O'connor. Do you know him? Winton does suit those nimble good handling cars, but he destroyed the motor in a big way. Ross

    Winton race report 12th,13th April

Talk about highs and lows, very thankful the highs followed the lows as the race meeting progressed.Winton, as I've reported before is about a 3hr drive for me so I arose at 4am,loaded up (including fitting the wheels with slick tyres, soon to become part of the story) at the factory and drove...
