    Dyno day

Oklahoma City. The tuner is Andrei at Abel Racing in Midwest City. He seems very knowledgeable about the differences in tuning for max hp vs. driveability vs. road racing type situations. They have been on Garage Rehab and are best known for Street Outlaws and straightline stuff.

    Dyno day

I went into the dyno day today just seeking a conservative tune. I didn’t have any idea as to what was in the car. Was it tuned for race gas or pump gas? What was the timing like? Well it turns out that it was a very aggressive tune. We spent a majority of the time street tuning for drive...

    Dyno day

Took the car to see what tune was in it and get some areas cleaned up. Tuned for 91 pump gas for now. Conservative on timing and a wee bit rich. 583 at the wheels at 6600.

    Got it Tagged and titled.

Not my work, just bought it from the family of a guy that passed away last year. In the process of going through it and sorting it out. She/he's a brute...already named him Bruno after my kinda messed up little Schnauzer that's really loud and has an over-developed sense of confidence. We...

    Got it Tagged and titled.

Here in Oklahoma you can literally tag and title an Ox cart if you want to. No MSO? No real paperwork? No Problem...go see the special county judge that deals with title issues. Tell him your story and for $144 he gives you a court order for the Tax Commission to issue you a title. Take that...

    New seats from Corbeau

Has anyone tried these new seats from Corbeau? They are designed for the tight confines of the Lotus exige/elise. They are also being picked up by the Miata crowd. Might be a good option for the SL-C for those that want a seat that’s not as bolstered...

Weird LS startup issue - fuel or electrical?

You should also check out Deatchwerks here: https://www.deatschwerks.com/products/surge-tanks I have used and still use the IE surge tanks and they are fine but there is always the "is this Bosch pump a knock-off" if you use the 044. The guys at Deatchwerks are friends of mine. Their stuff is...

Thank Howard, I was just wondering if anyone had already measured and was willing to share.

Alignment settings and more from a new owner

OK, couple of questions. Still haven't had a chance to get to the SL-C yet. (Hurt an engine on one of the racecars at Barber) As far as the lift for the front end is concerned. Which lift system are you running? It seems like the SL-C crowd uses the Ramlift Pro but which one? 1.25", 2.5" 40mm...

Can anyone tell me what these dash vents are from?

As the title says, the car I just bought has these dash vents. One of them is missing the outer half. What are they from so I can source one? Thanks

Alignment settings and more from a new owner

Already checked it out. This car has Racelogic TC in it so I'm assuming it has some passive wheel speed sensors picking up wheel speeds somewhere. I haven't had time to really dig into the car yet as I am in the middle of a new endurance racecar build that has to be ready in 2 weeks. After...

Alignment settings and more from a new owner

Hi Mesa, Thanks for the info. I called CLP and they are looking for the exact info but they believe it was a Mast Motorsports LS7 SS motor. This is what I suspected it was after I looked at it. If you have any more info I would appreciate it.
