    GT40 Graveyard!!!

Shine can last. I have a GTD front clip which got damaged and replaced in 1992 and has been sitting outside ever since and it is still shiny! 4 inch tubes? Wasn't that the tube size on a cobra?

    Auction

I have been asked to help transport the MK1 KVA to the auction. I have never seen a KVA built to this high standard or with careful choice of parts. It is very impressive. Also intrigued to see how it goes as it is miles above your average KVA standard.

    GTD brake upgrade

Southern GT do a GTD to southern GT top hung pedal box which has a balance bar if you wish to go that route. Cheaper than tilton. If you are keeping servos then if you have 4 pot fronts and the rear cosworth ie GTD uprated rear brakes then that is not a bad balance on the original GTD pedal...

    GTD brake upgrade

If you are going near a race track with your car then the AP option is the best route. They won't let you down as it is what they are made for. Your rear brakes are your weak point so at least change to the cosworth caliper scorpio disc at the rear then a 4 pot system up front will work with...

Roy Smart - Rest In Peace my friend...

This is so sad. Knew Roy for 26 years and he was very inspirational to me both within and without the GTD40 Car Club. An amazing chap who had an extraordinary life story. I hope the video Andrew sent some of us can be linked to here as it sums up Roy so well and returned a smile to my face...

Might have been TR6? But still Triumph..... Or just cut the spline off and weld on a removable steering wheel boss which makes getting in and out easier all round!

    GTD40 Restoration

Air has to be taken from the high point in an engine else it gets trapped. Hence the GTD take off point. Some aftermarket inlet manifolds at the rear of the engine have been known to cause issues depending on how they feed water across the heads so sometimes a bleed line is taken from the rear...

    GTD40 Restoration

There are two stages to bleeding the air from a GTD, you let the air in the engine out at the engine end and you let the air in the rad out at the radiator end. Simple. Once you have driven the car a short way repeat the exercise and it is soon done. Once the rad is full of water where can...
