    Engine in…..new problems.

I would - Remove the harmonic balancer bolt and see how far down the balancer hub the crank snout is. It’s likely pretty deep. Pull that balancer and mic the distance from the crank’s timing chain sprocket to the end of the crank snout. Mic the hub of the balancer. Do the math.. That balancer...

    RCR GT40 removable dash

While I never finished this part of my build (sold the car), I was setting it up to have the plenum bonded to the dash. Note that the front of the dash is actually to be held in place by the front of the spider. You’ll have to loosen the spider to slide the dash rearward.

    Second throttle cable

I did have a throttle cable problem and the cable end broke off. I set the idle speed adjustment to about 2k RPM with my pocket knife and made my way home.

    Rod C's Ohio RCR40

Looking good! Quick tip - On an RCR40 - Normally it is best to have your lower control arms move as far forward (shims) as you can get them in order to get enough positive caster when you finally align the car.

    Walter's RCR40 Build

Just a suggestion - From my past experience, you’d be far happier with the performance of your car on the street with -.5 camber all the way around. Straight line braking performance is also greatly enhanced.

    New(er) user contacting you????

Just a heads up to everyone… We do our best at GT40s to weed out the bad actors that register here, but now and again, there are a few turds that make it through under the guise of being a truly interested GT Buff (oh they have very convincing stories). Our friend Brian has nailed a number of...

    What was happening here?

Pressure venting? Still a double-nostril and no canards - so I’m thinking they’re doing whatever they can to get the front end back on the ground..

    Another Can- Am Story

The tire engineers I worked with from BFG, when I was a contract driver for them, told me that their tires compounds were set to go off between 180° and 220°. Which is where I came up with 190°. I do know that the Hoosier tires we used in Late Model Stock Cars would blister at 240°. A 190°...
