Yes the rims are 8". They were the widest I could find/afford. I like the looks of the thinner profile racing tires too. But need to stay with road legal tires. The look is important to me too but practiallity steps in sometimes LOL

If you're going to use a 4 barrel carb. Why not just get an aftermarket one (manifold)? Edelbrock makes one & so does Offenhauser. I'm using a Buick 215 in my Lotus. They are virtually the same engine & I got an offy for mine.

On my Lotus the rear drive axles have L&R nuts. I've heard they have a tendency to work loose. I plan on drilling the axles to take a cotter pin just to be on the safe side.

Yes Banks has built V-8 cars for customers too. I've looked at their chassis designs before. The 62 looks like a Europa with the side scoop. But I'm prety much modifying everything from the doors back. Once I get the frame to a roller I'll be checking what I may need to do to keep the new 15"...
