***SOLD*** SLC for sale in Canada ***SOLD***

That avenue will see it designated "for racing purposes only" and requires a statement from the manufacturer it was constructed for racing purposes only! The chassis still has identifying marks and a VIN that will get tagged by EPA and make it almost impossible to register. A roller might work...

    Russian F1 GP cancelled

Conflicting information, but it appears it's not quite canceled, the carefully worded press release said "it cannot proceed under the current circumstances" and as yet the promoter is not offering ticket refunds, insisting if the situation improved it could still go ahead. But I think the need...

    Powertrain/Transaxles

As I understand the Quaife transaxle uses Porsche internals and apart from external dimensions they are completely different animals. ZF sold the rights to manufacture the ZF to RBT (Roy Butfoy), I'm not sure if that included service parts and a time limit to exclusivity, but there may be some...

***SOLD*** SLC for sale in Canada ***SOLD***

It's a completed kit car, which is typically ineligible for import until meeting the 25 year rule for classics. Those built and registered in the US are under domestic rules for self constructed vehicles. This is much akin to Superformance, Noble etc. bringing in rollers because fully built...

WANTED: RBT/ZF transaxle flipped for GT40 application

I have a used ZF out of my '74 Pantera, that ran good and I can sell for $8,500 crated ready to ship ex Reno, NV. You are going to have to have it torn down to flip it and drill the oil drain holes, so opportune time to give it a thorough once over and safety wire the ring gear.

***SOLD*** SLC for sale in Canada ***SOLD***

This is a beautiful car that should have sold, I don't think it's the price holding it back, more likely to do with probable inability to get it across the border and imported to the US until 25 years old.

Using an EWP as an auxiliary pump to the mechanical

I think the video Howard linked in post #10 should answer the question, but remember 1. for pumps operating in series the head (differential pressure) is cumulative. 2. the typical automotive mechanical water pump is not a sealed impeller so some flow by can occur.

    Quaife versus ZF/RBT

There are a number of US based shops (many that work on Pantera's) that can work on or rebuild a ZF if you can secure one. RBT is the only new supplier, but there are second hand ZF's available, mostly out of Pantera's. Those require flipping for use in a GT40 as the Pantera uses it inverted, so...

    Recommended tire for 1969 Widebody

Chris, I have not personally used the TB15, however have read positive reports from wide body Pantera owners using them as to wear and stickiness, but limited wet performance. That was prior to Pirelli remaking the P7 Cinturato Classic range, which I think most of those guys are opting for...

    Barrett-Jackson SPF gt-40

I think it's had a lot of development and well sorted with an SVRA logbook, so if you want to go vintage racing in the US, yes I'd agree it appears it was sensibly priced, but will be interesting to see where bidding lands at BJ.

    Recommended tire for 1969 Widebody

To get he correct sidewall height I went with Avon slicks 14.0/27.0 and 10.5/23.0, with a hand cut historic tread from Roger Krause Racing $2,200 all in. If you are okay with a lower profile you can go for Pirelli P7 Cinturato 345/35 and 285/40 available from Longstone Tyres or the Michelin TB15...

    Strongest transaxles

My Porsche G50 has held up well behind a 600HP / 500 ft/lb SBC in an Ultima that has been put to use on track. But it was $15k transaxle in 2004 with all the upgrades (billet side plates, internal spray bar etc.).

    Panteras

You are in good company there are quite a few GT40 owners with Pantera's, here's my curretn trio, an '81 factory GT5, '74L and '71 dedicated race car. I've driven the GT5 wide an far west of the Rockies and even a 2.500 mile round trip into Canada and it's never let me down. Rust can be an...

    Mid Rise Scissor Lift

I have a 6k mid rise scissor lift and built a pair of ramps from 2x4 to drive over and retain the parking space for low ground clearance vehicles. I have a 4 post lift as well, but the mid rise has truly been the most useful addition to the garage I have made.
