    Is this one your Ron?

It is. Jerry passed away and I was contacted by one of the sons months before the sale about the car. Jerry got to use it a lot for track days over many years and enjoyed it, no failures of any serious type. And we drove it a bunch too with no issues, other than the water pump failure during the...

Does anyone here have an EV?

I didn't know the Bolt and Bolt EUV had different sport modes. That's pretty neat. My old Boss Mustang used to have steering feel adjusted via the electric rack so makes sense to use that strategy on nearly any car. Ryan you guys get the high performance version of the 500e don't you? We only...

Does anyone here have an EV?

I think that only impacts the throttle response curve. It brings on torque faster than the standard mapping so you get more acceleration with the same pedal travel. But there isn't any more torque/hp available, just bringing it in early. It doesn't change anything about the steering as far as I...

Does anyone here have an EV?

Of course, everyone is entitled to an opinion and expression thereof. But, I think if you spent some time driving an EV I suspect you'd be pleasantly surprised. As far as wheel to wheel racing, at the amateur level there are several SCCA guys I know who have converted their Spec Racer Fords...

Does anyone here have an EV?

Same in NC. Run it all the time. Don't think about it. The mileage hit doesn't affect anything you'll do with the car, as I said, it isn't a consideration for normal people using the car as it was designed to be used. It is an issue for the hypermilers, the ones who make sport out of seeing...

Does anyone here have an EV?

Drops a tiny bit, but not as much as with the resistive heater. Pretty simple arithmetic. The car will go about 4 miles on a kWh. So, if you're using 1kW for an hour to heat the car, you'll burn up for miles of range. AC and heat use isn't something I consider or think of in the use of the car...

Does anyone here have an EV?

We have a Bolt and a Model 3P, and the HVAC effects are interesting. I think GM does a great job with the software and management of the EV, and are very open with how things work. For example, if it is cold out the Bolt will adjust its projected range based on the temperature. And, it will...

Does anyone here have an EV?

Yep. I have no interest in acquiring another ICE vehicle. I absolutely realize that isn't how a lot of people will feel, but ICEs aren't going anywhere anytime soon, so they'll always be able to obtain one. We share our EVs with friends and acquaintances interested in driving one and it's made...

CAUTION when Posting in Wanted Section!

I do not know if this site attracts scammers more than other similar sites. But there aren't to many similar sites - ClubCobra is often down, and offline, or broken for many functions. We run the same software and protections as any forum site, Zenforo, and many of these are far larger...

Does anyone here have an EV?

We have two EVs, Chevy Bolt and Tesla Model 3 Performance, with a combined mileage total over 168,000 miles. Neither has suffered a malfunction at all - they just get tires and cabin filter. No kidding, that's it. No brake pads since we never use the brakes on either car, the regeneration...

    SCAMS GALORE

Rick, we're all volunteers on the site. We don't get paid, we work for free. The forum doesn't make a profit, it exists solely on donations that people make to support the forum, but it is absolutely free to use. The forum has operated this way for nearly 24 years, but you might not know that...

That's an option too. Was trying not to do that as 1) this forum is free to use and 2) it'd require constant support to maintain DM privileges.

    SCAMS GALORE

Hi Folks, The feature is active via promotions. Basically, as a registered user, ie someone that first joins, they can't send PMs. Once they post XX times then they are promoted to a Verified User and they will have the ability to send PMs. What value XX is TBD.

I can't seem to find that option in this software. VB definitely had it. I need to check online and see what I'm missing as I'm sure this feature exists.
