IMHO, nothing can beat a ZF for a GT40. It looks correct, can handle the power, mates to a SBF without an adapter, has gearing that is compatible with the power curve if most SBF engines. Ron

It is likely that the reverse idler gear is engaged. Hopefully the detent spring was not ,accidentally left out. Can you shift it into reverse and back to neutral? Ron

I would strongly consider Lee's advise about converting it back to the external slave arrangement. Much easier to fix if something fails or needs adjustment. Ron

I would think that is a dip switch for flashing the headlights and not a turn signal switch. Ron

Appears to be a battery disconnect switch and not a starter solenoid. It has a "wingnut " shaped knob on the front . Ron

I believe that VRG is that sanctioning body that is handling tech for the race event. Their website has clear rules that must be followed to participate in the wheel to wheel segment. The open track group will only need basic safety equipment and a current helmet. Ron
