    Engine in…..new problems.

Realize the bracket (casting) holds the alternator and there is a second fabricated multi-piece lower bracket that is the tensioner. You will have to make both parts. What happened to buying one from Gelscoe? it's a hell of a lot easier.....trust me.

    Most (more) accurate dash?

You should talk with SPF about paying for a tool room interior upgrade. It looks pretty darn authentic to me.

    Most (more) accurate dash?

Gelscoe would not make a LHD tub so I doubt same for the dash.

    Need cooling help please

If when you installed this most recent time you had significant leakage, it is more likely the thermostat slipped out of the housing and created the gap. As for machining, you would need someone with a CNC mill. I still never heard how you determined there was a major leak? How was that done...

    Need cooling help please

I would machine the housing if you have that much interference. Basically you are trying to seal two "perfectly flat" surfaces but for the fact there is a bulge being created by the thermostat sticking up too far. I just looked at the Motored (Stant) thermostat for the 302 and it measure...

Mike - so your previous post said you assembled the part and then let it sit overnight before applying torque to the bolts? why - put the assembly together and tighten it down. Then let the RTV dry. How is it leaking? - you put the system under vacuum and it would not hold? Can you explain...

    GT40 Turkey Pan Project

Very beautiful work. A note - your Blaster 2 coil mounted horizontally - I have been told by some and MSD recommends that coil only be mounted vertically. I have read where they leak. Just and FYI as I have not "tried" mine yet. Also, how did you convert your rear sway bar to that one? thanks

Who makes low passenger side alternator bracket?

The cast (non -Gurney) bracket boss spacing when machined is 3.0" which fits the normal small case Ford 1G or small case 3G alternators. The bracket is machined by Gelscoe to align to the shorty water pump provided you use the correct water pump and crank pulleys (I used CVF pulleys). I bought...

Who makes low passenger side alternator bracket?

More like it will NOT fit on a Gurney head. The bracket has 3 holes in it that must align to the stock Ford 289 / 302 iron head or an aftermarket head like an AFR.

FAV illustrated parts drawings and parts lists

Looking for "Plate P" parts list. Cushman's site no longer operating and online search is missing all the plates after Plate L. Image Gallery was said to have them but search does not find them. Can someone help by posting P parts list (not the illustration). thanks

Mike: Your thermostat housing is a Superformance-supplied piece. I would either have someone weld fill and grind the defect or try JB Weld and then sand the surface as flat as you can make it using Howard's method. The Thermostat must sit down into the recessed ring. If the lip is beyond...

    Engine in…..new problems.

Pat - here is the water pump. Ford Motorsports. https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-8501-E351S. The pump inlet clears the crank pulley assuming you use the correct part and it is spaced to align with the correct crank pulley. I know you have read the ERA assembly manual. Read the entire...

Who makes low passenger side alternator bracket?

GM Automotive is very much in business. Andy and Jon are the two folks you need to speak with. They may be on travel supporting a race.

    Engine in…..new problems.

Pat - the Gelscoe bracket puts the centerline of the alternator belt at approximately 5.5" outward from the face of the head. That aligns perfectly with the Ford shorty water pump and CVF pulley. I guess you could put spacers behind it but there is no point to doing that since the entire...

    Engine in…..new problems.

The end of my crank before balancer was installed. When mounted, the balancer is 1/4" from the timing cover. Not sure how far out your crank extends.
