Let me know if you head over, I would love to see it run! Things got so crazy at the end, I only drove them up and down the street for a few short testing miles (with a huge smile on my face). The plan for the two owners was to have a bit of fun with them at Elkhart.
Bitter sweet memories...
I sold it to somone from the Cincinnati area, back in December of 08, not sure he kept it or not. It is hard to believe 74 went to the west coast and back.
Seems so many years ago that I built 74&75. If you remember the tragic issue with one owner passing away, and his friend the second owner not even wanting to drive the other. Happy to say Scott's widow and children are doing well.
Any info on 2174& 2175 would be appreciated. Just curious to...
Superformance GT40 MKII P2175.
2175 is being offered for sale at a new low price! This car has not been registered and has less then 20 miles on it. Why wait for a Chassis or Transmission, you could have this in your garage in a few days! This price is now well below cost! I will be more than...
Ok Had to chime in on the Twin Otter! I used to fly one on the weekends at a busy Skydiving center. This pic shows how to get it to the ground to get more back up. Used to do 30-35 times a day, all the time dodgeing the O'Hare arrivals just 40 miles to the North East. Great Fun!! Great Aircraft!
Jimmy Mac has it right!!! Amazing how much info noted that "M" as a SVO code, but it clearly has the Made in Mexico in the valley. Jac Mac knows his stuff! Thanks for all your help!
Yes everything I read notes that it came out of the SVO devision. Not sure if this points to nothing more than a late 60's crate motor or is there something special about this block?
Sorry,
Not GT 40 related, but too many experts here that will know the answer. Since SPF 2174 and 2175 are complete, I moved on to another project I had waiting, a 1966 Sunbeam Tiger. The car needed some chassis work so I removed the engine to freshen it up a bit. The owner knew the engine...
I contacted Car and Driver as I was considering advertising 2174 and 2175 in that issue. They were a bit unsure but they were thinking the November issue that goes on sale in October.
Superformance GT40 MKII P2174 and P2175.
Both cars are completed and being offered for sale. Both cars are identical in every way. Neither have been registered and have less then 10 miles on them. Why wait for a RBT, you could have one of these in your garage in a few days! This price is now...

Mike,
I had a friend with me who managed to snap a few, I should be able to post some soon. Amazing sound, in top gear, up close to red-line. Some people had fingers in their ears,,,but I did without, and just enjoyed the music of it!
Not sure who's it is,,,but I happened to be in Charlotte for business and had some free time to run up and yack with Dennis, I missed him as he was headed out to Barret. However, I was there to watch some dyno runs on someones Gulf MKI with a Roush 427IR. Not sure if the owner is on the forum...
Mike & Mark,
We just ingested some debris into one of the motors on our Regional Jets. The motors complete are 3.4 million. This debris just damaged each of the 28 fan blades, 248,000 in damage! Crazy,,,,sorry to side track.
Anyone received their ZF recently?? If so I would be curoius on your original order date. I was just told today that mine might be worked on the week of December 10th, but they might also take some time off at the holidays and it might not be done until early January,,,14 months after I ordered...
