    Looking to buy

In conclusion I ended up finding two cars both posted from contributors here that met the criteria except livery. In the end I bought a new roller and am having the car built to the specs I wanted with McLaren livery. I would like to ask a question on opinion about canards on a mk11. While they...

    Transmission cooler

Hi I have just secured a build spot for a mk11. The dealer is saying that a transmission cooler is not necessary unless you're going to be racing the car hard. He also said that they are very noisy. At this point I have not ticked the option box but definitely will do if recommended by owners...

According to Hillbank superformance in it Irvine California 80% of superformance GT40 MK2 builds are big block FE's 427 or 496. So what I'm l looking for is not that rare.

I have spoken with cam on several occasions. We met when he refused to let me join his club just because I wasn't a kiwi. Said he didn't want to dilute the bloodline or something. Yes he does have an FE in it, amazing car. Spf com specifically recommends a 302, 351w or a 427fe as the preferred...

I agree but having a car you're rarely going to get out of 2nd is tough, I rarely get the cobra out of 3rd

How big a difference between the t44 and the zf? I always thought the zf to be a 5sp but apparently not so in this case.

I just called, seems promising, he is sending more information. It is a zf 4sp car, not sure how that stacks up against a t44. T44 problem is 91 mph in 1st and 151 mph in 2nd makes for a very tough street car. The link you sent is a broker so a lot more information is needed. Thanks for the lead

I believe that the weight difference between an FE and a roush is about 125- 150lbs, hardly a boat anchor. The Spf website actually lists the FE as the recommended engine for their MK2. Tight fit yes but I have seen enough of these around to feel that it isn't an engineering feat.

20k is nothing for that big an option. Other than the exactness of Spf originality the engine has to be the 2nd biggest thing.

IF I did find that unicorn, what kind of premium do you think I would have to pay over a roush

    Looking to buy

I find it odd that so many cobras are powered with the correct engine and gt40's are not. The fe price should be the same for both cars and there is no shortage of Fe's around. The gt is a far more expensive build and buy so I would be surprised if it's a financial reason. I figure the car I am...

My preference on color would be Gulf even though it wouldn't have been stoke for the car but I'm not that stuck on that. I have a cobra with a 496fe and a top loader and it is a serious handful at best. My thought is that the 5sp would be more streetable than the 4sp.
