15” DRMs what widths?

Hi guys
Was wondering what 15” wheel widths are typically run on GT40s I’m seeing 10” rear and 8” front. And the street car had Borrani wire-spokes
Front - 6.5 x 15 in.
Rear - 8.00 x 15 in.
Was thinking going somewhere in the middle.
im building a mk1 street car and want a less aggressive stance. Anyone here running a 15x9 rear and 15x7 front BRM wheel setup?

Choose the tyres first. For 15" use the Avon cr6zz. Usual is 8x15" front and 10" rear wheels with 215/60x15 front and 275/55x15 rear tyres.
This is what I have on my GTD.
Cheers
Mike

Don’t really want to run a 10” rear but I’ll dig around and keep searching. Love the look of a slightly tucking tire on these cars.

I haven't seen everything.... but I have yet to see BRM's or Halibrand's commercially available in anything but the 8 and 10 inch widths. The folks going wider end up slicing and splicing in hoops to get their deisred widths (12", 14", etc...). I imagine a competent shop could do the opposite,

On the subject of the tucked arches, if you are going with the a wider rear clip, you get to set your arch clearance as you see fit. I too have an admiration for the rear lip running somewhere along the sidewall altitude, and when I widened the rear, I set the lip of the arches exactly where I wanted them. I love the result!

If you'll be running the standard width rear clip, it would be pretty straightforward to set your chassis up as desired, and if the gaps aren't what you're looking for, it'd be easy to put them where you want before getting on with the paint work.

With a street car rear 10” rears require moving suspension inboard. If I had my wheels made 9” in rear I would have not had the issue.I have Bill Hough body with a Southern GT chassis
