Hi, my gt40 is now around 20 years old, and requiring a bit of tlc these days. I'min yhe process of replacing the clutch. Its a ford 289 mated to a renault box. And this is where i need some help. As i recall i intalled a renault 21 turbo box, however the number on the back of the box seems to be a renault 18. Who knows! Anyway i purchased a LUK replacement clutch which had 22 teath and a diameter of 240mm which should be correct, however it didn't fit the spline on yhe box. So does anyone know what plate i need to use? The valeo 826859 might be correct but I'm guessing. Any support would be great. Thanks

My Renault clutch plate is 21 splines (21 Turbo box)
Renault gearbox data - this may help to identify what you have. There is usually a metal identification tag on one of end casing bolts.

From what I remember you can get an uprated Renault clutch from Helix Motorsport. I changed my Renault clutch (as it kept slipping) for the much stronger AP one from Mick Sollis at SGT.
