Cool Cutout

Does anyone have a pic of the fiberglass cutout where the coolant lines on an SLC going through the wheelwell.

I've attached one but i can't see the shape of the inboard cutout. I'm wondering whether an oval was cutout or a strip of the whole wheelwell.

Seems like it would attach better if i cut a 12" strip and anchored the coolant line to the Al frame.

Are you asking for the relief that will need to be fit in the fiberglass center section where the coolant lines enter the side pod in the front wheel well?

I haven't gotten that far but it looks like a straight forward trim to fit exercise.

Howard, yes, don't know if an oval needs to be cut or if it is better to take the oval and the rest of the fiberglass all the way over to the end of the wheelwell forward, about 12". it looks like taking 12" would be best but I just want to make sure i'm not taking any strength or anything that might be needed later in the build?

Because Fran set the door and clips, i'm trying not take off the aligned body.

I think it is going to be difficult to build the car without taking it apart at least a few times. If it makes you feel more confident then mark everything very carefully first.

Here' s picture of one side on my car with the coolant line completely installed with cushioned clamps.

You are going to need to run the cooling system, and other stuff I suspect, down the side-pods and I can't see it being easily done with the center section body work installed.

Can't you lift off the center section and leave the doors in place? I think so.

Call Fran. He'll help ya.
