Hi Howard - farhad called and told me you wanted to talk about getting my car to your party. I will try, but after the first engine start last week where I finally had all of the water leaks fixed and could let it really run up to temperature, it seems that i have one more leak - unfortunately it's internal and I've now wound up with water in the oil!.
So, I need to pull the intake manifold (i hope it's there!! and not elsewhere!) and re-install. check the heads, drop the pan, get coffee can full of oil and put oil pick-up in there, pull distributor and crank oil pump to flush the whole system. pull some main caps & rod caps and check them, and then put the damn thing back together again.

Thanks again for the invite and allowing me to be present at your first fire of the engine...it sounds really great. Also thanks for letting me borrow the books on GT40s. It's great reading and I am enjoying them. They will be returned soon. I'm sorry to hear that there are more leaks that the one we found when I was there. I hope the water in the oil is not a huge issue to resolve. I can't wait to see the car finished and running.
