Answer to your question: The streaking small dots of light in the Time Lapse Photography sequence are not shooting stars, they are instead a steady stream of airplanes departing various airports off in the distant horizon. The lighting streaks are produced from individual photo frames of the planes' headlight.

You may not think you are inclined to enjoy time lapse photography because your only reference may be seeing cactus open and bloom. No, no and no! These time lapse clips are shot in beautiful scenic rural locations, and many were shot from a moving car.

These shots are also unusual, or embellished because in addition to the time lapse shutter adjustments, the camera, depending on the scene, is moving slowly on a track (dolly), and/or, is moving (rotating) slightly. enjoy
