Glass rear screen?

Any of you guys know if a glass rear screen is available as opposed to perspex? My rear screen is warped, so before I fit one, I'd like to make it glass if possible.

Thanks,

I recently bought one from Tonado \ Andy. Other than the notable added weight when raising and lowering the rear clip it's really nice and I am very happy I installed it. I really was annoyed by the warping of the plexi.

My other alternative was to seek out thicker and\or higher quality plexi or lexan. The originals I see at the vintage racing don't seem have warpage issues. One owner suggested Aircraft Windshield of California.

I also got my rear screen and fitting kit from Andy at Tornado. It is a good fit in the rebate of my KVA. It sits a bit proud, compared to the wobbly old battle-scarred plexiglass sheet I've taken off, but it still looks much better.

Graham-

With minimal effort I was able to get a rear screen from RF to fit quite well. It involved minor work around the opening but very straightforward.

I'd bet they sell/ship them.

The additional weight of a glass rear screen is not an issue IMHO. My glass screen was pretty light - and I get a good view to the rear over the top of the throttle bodies in my interior rear view mirror.

Hi there Tony....
Melted the rear screen in my old KVA with a wide rear end...... I saw your post above and dont want to have to repaint my rear lid so was wondering just how good the Tornado glass fit was for your KVA.....??.....was yours a wide tail car....??...not sue if the glass size differs, most likely not I guess....
Any assistance much appreciated.

Kind regards

Marcus
