GT40 Moulds, Jigs, Patterns For Sale !!!!

Here's one from out of left field : I spotted a 1/4 page ad in the April/May issue of Unique Cars magazine here in Oz (page 229) :

"GT40

1999. Once in a lifetime opportunity to own sole rights to manufacture this magnificent GT40 replica. All jigs, moulds and patterns are supplied. (No dreamers please).

Ph after 7pm
(02) 4342-3900 or
0410-596-273 NSW

$120,000"

The ad also had a B&W pic of a light-coloured, twin-nostril, non-flared rear MK1 with a single dark stripe down the centre, and what looked like cross-laced chromed wire wheels.

Probably wishful thinking, but you could interpret the ad as saying that you get the 1999 car pictured, plus the moulds, etc, all for A$120k !!!

Anyone know anything about this, or shall I pretend not to be "a dreamer" & give the guy a call ?

Kind Regards,

Peter D.

The kit is a copy of the EARLIEST KVA kits from the UK. It was built by a Sydney man when he was asked to finish a KVA kit for a customer and while he was doing that he copied the existing parts. I saw the car almost 12 years ago and I remember it well.

Best wishes,

Robert

Must be a quirky Convict term, just us Aussies use Rick. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif The saying goes: "I wouldn't touch it with a ......." ie. steer well clear.

Hee hee,

Sorry Tim - I am familiar with the bargepole, I was asking if anyone had any more info about the jigs!

Best,

Rick
