GT40 Number plate

Hi all, not sure wether this goes here but i have an interesting number plate iam thinking of selling. A GT40 1W
I had a chap, a GT40 owner express some interest in the number and offered me £1000. I have tried to do some research and cannot find another number like it on the net. I had a reply from one of the places i researched and they suggested i try a dedicated forum. Perhaps someone with initials IW??
I know nothing about number plates or the demand for such a rare number so i hope you dont mind but would like to know if its worth anything to specialists like yourselves and i would possibly sell it.
I run a Motorcycle company in Manchester and the plate is currently on one of our bikes, any advice or interest would be greatly appreciated.

£1k is a good price. I managed to get J GT40 Y for £200!

Cheers for that. After much further investigation and research and the fact there isnt another ( A GT40 ) anywhere i can find.. i will let this go for £1200 so if anyone interested let me asap, iam thinking of sticking it in auction and possibly on ebay.. may get a bit more interest and higher bids from someone with the initials IW who has a GT40! as the number is once again

Ebay may not be your best bet with that, that's where I got my plate from, amazed I got it so cheap. I thought it would go for at least £1k.
Not only that they seem to be a pain to sell, got another plate on my 300ZX Twin Turbo - J 2XTT & have had no interest in that at all
