GTD Restoration completed!

We had a great day at Castle Combe on 28th May with https://reperformance.co.uk/

The GT went really well, the cooling system kept the temperatures under control despite long queues in the summer sun, although the tyres took quite a beating !

Hi Julian

Looks a good day out. Some more sedate road miles will tidy those tyres back up. Whats interesting to see is the even wear across the tyre. Means your camber and tyre pressures seem right. Were you able to take tyre temperature readings to verify things?

Hi Malcolm,

I'm glad you noticed the nice even tyre wear. Yes, I used a tyre pyrometer during the early stages of developing the car. From the base settings, I used the techniques described in the Carrol Smith & Fred Puhn books, ie a string box setup. The car handles better than I can drive it :)
