Hello From Eastern Oregon

Hello everyone my name is Jack and I have just registered to your site so I can share some of my memories of Sebring . My late friend Joe Sheppard operated Sheppards Imports in Tampa. Joe had a relationship with Carol Shelby during the Cobra and GT40 days. He also was close with Ken Miles having both driven together on the 62 Sunbeam Alpine factory sponsored team. I have included a cou of photos from that era. Look closely and you can see the Sheppard banner above the crew’s.

Welcome to GT40S Jack. That is some interesting history there. I hope someone can help you identify the car you are referring to in your other post.
Best of luck !!
Enjoy the forum !!

Joe relocated from Howard Ave location when the dealership was sold to Dave Heinz to a small shop on McDill Ave just a short drive from McDill AFB.

That was probably a different car , Shelby used the Howard location a number of times during the Cobra/GT years. The car Joe worked on was at the McDill location In the early 70’s.
