INQUIRY: Aston Martin V8 reference request

Hello,

I have a project that has been in limbo for about a year; but, now that I have joined this forum....it's an opportunity to possibly pick this project up again.


I am a model hobbyist and a while back I bought the Tamiya T70 kit and some added bits to build the '67 Surtees Lola at LeMans. My original plan was just to build it with the Chevy motor: but, then I became very curious about the Aston-Martin V8. Inever could find any pictures as to what that A-M V8 would have looked like. So, I put the project away. Now that I found this forum, I wonder if anyone here can help me. I would like to gather some visual references of that engine (around that time).

I have a number of pictures showing engine detail, some that were given to me by a guy who's Dad was at Lemans during scrutineering. Hope they are of help. Also, all show engine with carbs. I can find no evidence to show that they ran the Aston with injection in the few races that it did.

Many Thanks Darren! The pictures are excellent and I am thinking I caould scratchbuild or convert the Chevy motor in the Tamiya kit to simulate the Aston-Martin......
