Hi all, I just registered on the GT40s website this A.M. and I am thinking of building a GT40 of my own. I've done some web surfing of manufacturers and It looks like I'm interested in the New Zealand GT40 of Phil Ware or possibly the Tornado. I am looking to get the bulk of the kit and related parts to my door step in the neighbor hood of $20k. Sadly this rules out the CAV, RF, and ERA. I was wondering if anyone out there has a Tornado and what their impressions of the car are. How was the company to deal with. I believe there are currently only two NZ based GT40's in the states. I spoke with Neil Meldrum in Washington state about his and he seems impressed with it. I've got the building background. I've had a Classic Roadsters 427 Cobra now for about 10 years and I assembled and wired the car myself. (I had someone else paint it) Being that it's a CR, I also know what it's like to deal with a company that has internal problems. Anyhow, am I missing any other GT40 manufacturers that might fit my bill. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guy, and girls!
