As if to assert Ford’s authority Bruce McLaren took a Mk4 out and lapped at 3.24.4, an average of 147.316 mph and topped 215mph on the Mulsanne, in the dark.

These guys were amazing. Sounds like a modern IndyCar quote, but this was 1967 in full cockpit cars with 1967 rubber...

Looks like a good read about the 1957 Le Mans. I've never been to one but it's part of my bucket list once this pandemic ends.
