Can anyone say "Bentley" ?

Apart from that...

The most potent diesel model is powered by a twin-turbo V6, which produces a staggering 600 Nm of torque. The aluminum AJ V8 engine is available with direct injection in naturally aspirated and supercharged form. In its most powerful guise that 5-litre unit is good for a very impressive 510 bhp. That's enough power to accelerate the big cat from 0-60 mph in well under five seconds. All engines are mated to a ZF 6-speed automatic gearbox"

I suppose I COULD be pursuaded to have one!!

I just hope Gordon Brown implements public spending cuts, that mean the Treasury won't authorise the bomb proofing measures on the car.

From any perspective, It looks to be a great car.

Does anyone else find the new slab-sided look that every car maker has adopted for sedans a little lacking in elegance?
The only exceptions that come to mind in this class of cars is the Masserati QuatroPorto. If you compare the Italian to the German, British, Japanese or American designs of Lux-sedans, the Italian gets high marks for beauty and elegance for the multi-passenger coach. IMHO, that is how to execute a three-box design and still look like a sexy beast. And I won't even go into Porsche's new 4-door 9-11! It may be a techno marvel and I am sure it will still be bullit-proof as Porsches are, but man they should have had an Italian on the design team.
