Panel Bonding Agents

What has proven, to you, to be the best bonding agent for aluminum to steel panels? I'm sure there is a myriad of different types and I'm looking for something better than the typical, acetic acid free, silicone.

A lot of UK builders use a polyurethane product such as Sikaflex 221.
