Question????

What were the holes in the seats for? (a) to keep the driver cool by blowing air into the cockpit. (b) To hide stereo speakers to keep the driver entertained over long races. (c) To extract air out of the cockpit. OK OK it's not (b). Answer is in the Tech , Electrical,Interior and Trim section. Regards.

The holes in the seats were a strategic design by the leading automotive engineers and proctologists of that period. The idea was that when a driver became flatulant, the pure methane would be funneled into a pipe leading to the intake manifold, thus boosting the horse power significantly.....its a little known fact that the multiple LeMans successes were largely due to fact that the team often ate burritos before the races.

Hope that helped some.

Ahhh, well put and very insightful. This could really come in handy especially considering I live in the southwest.
Does anyone have blueprints for this unique injection/boost system.
Is this where NOS got it's start?
