Race Cars on the Road

We're reprograming our KERS so that on the road it can charge from the motor as on the road there's not enough braking. It can be switched back to race mode from the steering wheel.

That's way cooler then cool! What reaction do you get when you come up behind someone? They must check their mirrors and rub their eys when seeing you approach.

nice toy...

3 questions for Jim:

1. Is the same race gearbox?
2. The same exhaust? How can you pass the dB sound level?
3. Did you get a license plates? I bet you can not do that here in Cali

All the best,

All the best,

Same gearbox but we'll be fitting helicoidal gears to quiet it down.

Raced with cats and mufflers so that's not an issue.

Car legal in NYS with all required emissions and safety equipment.

In California I suspect it would have to registered as a Kit/Homebuilt.

Our next one will be fully Euro/Mideast/China legal and US legal as a Homebuilt where allowed.

This was the same no. 1 car that was used in the video. What a crash!

**Audi mechanics worked through the night to build up a brand-new No. 1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro following Loic Duval’s massive accident in Wednesday’s practice, that’s ruled the Frenchman out of the race. Work was completed by 8 a.m., with the finishing touches having been put on diesel-powered LMP1-H contender since. Marc Gene takes the place of Duval in the lineup.

***Duval, who sustained only bruises to his legs, remained in Le Mans hospital overnight for observation and is expected to be released shortly, according to Allan McNish. It marked the biggest accident yet for a 2014-spec LMP1 car, which features improved cockpit safety measures.

Report: Loic Duval Stable after Massive Crash at Le Mans
Following today’s crash during the practice session of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest has released an official report saying that Audi driver driver, Loic Duval is fine and in an encouraging condition. Duval was involved in a massive high speed crash in his No.1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro, at the Porsche Curves, at Marshals Post No.131.

The ACO’s Medical Services arrived at the scene immediately where Duval was treated while in full conscious. He was later taken to an ambulance before being transported to the Le Mans’s Centre Hospitalier for further examination. This is the 82nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans; last year a similar incident at the Mulsanne corner claimed the life of Aston Martin driver Allan Simonsen.

Piloting the No.1 Audi car alongside Duval is Tom Kristensen and Lucas Di Grassi. Duval won the race last year alongside Allan McNish and Tom Kristensen. Kristensen remains the most successful Le Mans driver with a total of seven wins since his debut in 1997.

Some people in Italy must be jealous, what a racy looking car. They should have come up with this design themselves. Love what you have done, a nice way of becoming part of the automotive and motorsport history. Well done!
