What ever you come up with it needs to be adjustable in height to be able to dial out bump steer !

Your steering rack looks similar to mine, but the chassis mount is a bit different on the right side, as my car is not a GT40. here are a couple of pictures of how I mounted the rack, The purple mounting is a split bushing, The rack needs to be mounted solidly, as the forces on it are high.

Make a short firewall between your upper suspension supports to mount the rack and other future systems and it will add to chassis strength. BTW, I made my tie rod end links adjustable in height to account for bump steer but can also shim the rack itself.
