Our state has just introduced a new numbering system for car registrations, 2 letteres - 2 numbers - 2 letters. So, i just ordered the following ready for fitment to my Roaring Forties GT40 when it arrives soon.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Well done Tim. It amazes me that our state government here in Victorian hasn't jumped on the revenue possibilities, given that they treat the motorist as a cash-cow. We are very limited in what we can have. In general it amounts to letters first, followed by numbers in a total of six characters. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif Maybe we will see something soon (following the governments failed attempt to shamelessly raise revenue in the guise of road safety through speed cameras).

Chris,
This is a new standard-issue series. We have exausted the zzz999 series so they've started at AA00AA. So my plates are in this series, you can just go on-line and create the placte of your choice, they send it to your nearest Rego office, and you pick 'em up. It's really good (odd for a Govt. department yes?). For $400 a year, you can have aynthing you want in 6 letters or digits. I actually have "A_GT40" on hold, but when the standard-issue GT40RF came up, and is not $400 a year, who was i to argue. Choice of colours too: blue, white, purple, red, green. My RF will be red, so the red plates will do nicely. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
